  5. Calculate your pay and taxes. This step is to understand how much you will be paid each pay cycle and how much is taken out for federal and local taxes. 
  6. Pay your taxes. These taxes are usually paid monthly. 
  7. Document tax forms and fill-out a W-2. As an employer, you should send in your employer tax return and file your taxes and W-2 accordingly.
